Once again I make a reference to a movie and Air-ran flies off the handle and talks about killing people. Same book different chapter. No one cares that you don't think Jones is good basketball player and I don't think anyone is saying that Jones is going to go pro or is one of the best in SWVA or SWVA history or whatever. They are saying that Jones is a good high school basketball player. However, this isn't what sparked the controversy you going back and changing your opinion 12 times is where the argument is. First you say he isn't any good at basketball(you said no good but I'm trying to use correct grammar something they obviously didn't teach you in nursing school, then you say he is good, now he is decent. Which one is the soup de jour? Now you go on about Jones not being that great of a football player saying, "Man if Jones is a "really good" football player then i am freaking Larry Bird..........he is a really good football player" What in the world do you mean you Start off your post saying there is no way he is a really good football player then directly after that say he is a really good football player. What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this board is now dumber for having read it. what the heck does it matter what james thinks...he opinion on the matter has nothing to do with you saying jones was "not a good basketball player"....i called you out and proved to you that was a decent/solid player and now all you want to talk about is that you said that he was a good football and baseball player...and changing the subject about people arguing that is a he is a great athlete...you can't handle that you are an idiot

Why does everybody gotta be dropping the hammer on Air-Ran? You guys need to slow down and stop ganging up on a brother. It's ok that he is 50% Twin Valley and the pain is about to be brought to the district.

I agree with Air Ran? After watching KT for several years. I totally agree with him being one of the most under-rated and one of the most unselfish player?s around. By knowing his personality, I think he?s ok with being under rated! I?m sure his mind set is doing what he has too to win. I think what he brings this season is his defense, ball handling and passing ability. He will create problems with opponents defense, especially man to man... opening up the inside and outside game of TV. There?s a few positive words for a kid that made a transition last year from outsider at Grundy to Home at TV. He?s a good kid and I hope he has a really good season. He is deserving.
I also agree with the idea of controlling Shortridge (probably most over rated of the group). This will be a factor for the TV coaching staff. He can be very good or very suspect on the floor. He?s a big part of the team, they need him to play his role. Final thoughts..I think he wants to win badly.. and he will do what is asked of him. Without attitude! Hopefully!
From what I?ve heard KG is playing great with all these guys (he brings a lot to the table for TV). Lester, is a hoss and can flat out get it done. Baldwins, big and getting better. Now with that all being said.. I?ll make a statement about a player that has worked really hard and word is he has shown major improvement is Kris Viers. Also.. there?s 2 freshman that will make major contributions this year for TV. Hunter Simpson and Garrett Horne. IMO, these guys could start on about any team. So, the future is bright for TV basketball.

Now, my opinion on the other teams.. DJ?s (has to control himself) It?s his team, he?s the leader. The new foreign exchange student has to make a major impact and must be accepted by his teammates. Epling is solid in the post. Who else is there? Those 3 have to play great. 2 or three others have to step up and make major contributions. Neal will do great. It?ll take him a year or so to get his system into place. I think the Cobras will always be competitive.

Haysi, Kevin will have to shoulder the weight. Is his shoulders big enough?? I think so.. If Jones and a few others play their roles. Coaching has always been good at Haycity? It will not change. But, if they all play more as a team (less dependent on one scorer) I agree they will pose more of a threat!

Honaker, has a lot of guys back and a few new guys moving up. They will be good also. Word has Jacob Shortidge might get a late start because of a football injury. That won?t help the tigers early on.

Hurley, has good coaching and big guys. They also have a shooter or 2. Let them hang around and anything could happen. The players need to buy into what the coaches are trying to sell. It could be a bargain.

In My Opinion.. The BDD will be Great to watch again this season.

I hope not to offend anyone.. and all you guys have good posts of your opinions.. I hope mine makes sense also..

I think Jones is a good player.. Does his job. Plays with lots of emotion. Probably a better football player.. My pick is he?s a better baseball pitcher. Pretty dang good athlete I do believe.
You guys need to be good? I don?t know a bad player out there.. just some bring more than others.. You?ll find every place (school) holds their own closer than those from a distance. Honaker love their kids as to Haysi and TV.. so on and on? we need to keep all positive!!

Goinbred you really crack me up man you talk about what i do as it is not a profession and you act as if you are so intelligent, well brother if you think i am so classless you evadently know who i am so lets me and you meet up and talk bro i am all for it. Dude my work is exactly what it is work i have a pretty important job in some aspects and i am certain you would not even realize what i do or do i care to explain like i said i am not a nurse but hell i would take their pay any day if you think that is something to make fun of go ahead one day you may grow up and be something too. You will never get the whole thing with what i said to BBJ but he will because of who he is. THis was a pretty cool board last season but now i see that most of the board if full of smart asses that have not a clue about much anything that goes on outside of Haysi or that no one is any good other than Haysi or that you should not say anything about the athlete's at Haysi. So you guys keep on living in your fantasy world like Anselmo said the Thunder is about to be called down upon the BDD this season in Basketball so get ready boys for a long ride. Bye the way good post Dawg, it is not that i am knocking Jones at all the kid is a good athlete but you cant go blowing him up as a great Basketball or even good basketball player, he is as i said a really good football player and a very good baseball player and that is all i can say.
